Vehicle tracking - the ability to track the location of a vehicle through an electronic device fitted to the vehicle.
Sounds easy, but there are a variety of systems available; some are combined trackers and immobilisers, others will let you know when the vehicle has been moved.
Before ordering a system there are a number of questions which need to be asked including:
- how many vehicles do you want to track
- can you move the equipment between vehicles
- is it available for 12v and/or 24v supply
- what information do you need from the system
- how do you receive that information
- do you purchase or rent the equipment
- how much is the subscription (if there is one!)
